DC’s big, Superman-related event of 2010 was revealed today over at their official blog, The Source. It’s titled “War of the Superman” and it’s to be the culmination of some two years’ worth of story in the Superman books. More interesting is that, as with Blackest Night, issue #0 of crossover will be handed out on Free Comic Book Day for (what else?) free.

I’ve been peripherally following the events in the Superman books for a while now, from the expansion of Kandor to Superman’s stay in the newly formed planet of New Krypton. I’ve been curious as to when all the tension between Earth and New Krypton would finally reach its boiling point and, if issue #0 delivers, consider me on board for the crossover.

DC will be posting a major announcement every day until Friday (yesterday’s was a series of original graphic novels set in a new continuity) so this might not be the last time this week I post something DC related.
