Ada and Trini
I should preface this by saying that I totally ripped off AznMexTofu’s lovely style for this piece. “Good artists borrow, great artists steal,” as they say and, granted, I’ll never make it look as good as he goes but I did want to try something in his style. Resisting the temptation to do my usual cartoon shading on it was harder than I thought.
These are Ada and Trini, two characters a friend and I created for a comic book pitch. The pitch went nowhere unfortunately, but I do love the characters we created and I felt the designs could use some tweaking and this is the end result.
Still toying with the idea of making this story work but, for now, this is as far as I’m taking it.
