Supergirl Redesign
I almost didn’t finish this.
I liked the idea of a young, de-sexified Supergirl (potentially inspired by those awesome DC Nation shorts) but, once I started drawing it, I realized it just wasn’t the kind of thing I like to draw. So, with the lineart almost completed, I put it to the side, was even tempted to delete a couple of times but ultimately decided to take it to completion because, hey, the thinking part (pose, composition, studying a different style, etc) was already done and all that was left was the more mechanical stuff.
She’s basically a younger version of Supergirl so, despite a couple of changes here and there, this isn’t a “redesign” in the strictest sense. Please understand that I’m not very creative with my titles and, after actually considering the name “Girl Supergirl,” I went with redesign because it seemed more fitting.
I once again used FrostBo’s asteroid brushes but, other than that, it was all pretty straightforward stuff.
I gotta draw some Marvel stuff soon…
